H. Ronald Pitt became Associate Provost for Academic Administration of Northern Arizona University in September 2000.  In that capacity, he is responsible for:
 


Dr. Pitt has more than 29 years of experience at a number of institutions, both nationally and abroad, including Oklahoma State University, Arizona State University, and Haarlem Business School, the Netherlands.

Dr. Pitt received his Bachelors degree from the University of Montana in 1966 and his Masters and Doctoral degrees from Oklahoma State University in 1972 and 1978, respectively.

Dr. Pitt is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants.   Dr. Pitt has served on many University and state-wide committees, and is currently Co-Chair of the Arizona Academic Program Articulation Steering Committee, Co-Chair of the Northern Arizona University/Coconino Community College Coordinating Council, Chair of the University Space Planning and Utilization Committee, Chair of the Associate/Assistant Deans Roundtable, and Chair of the Change Management Committee.  He is a member of the Deans Council.

Dr. Pitt served with The Peace Corps, in Chile, South America and in the United States Army.

Dr. Pitt and his wife, Kay, a Senior Lecturer in the College of Business Administration at NAU, live in Flagstaff, Arizona.
