Tutorial on Academic Integrity
Check out our new tutorial on academic integrity! One of the best strategies for preventing cheating and plagiarism is education, so we created this tutorial for students and faculty. Students who receive training about which actions constitute cheating and how to cite sources properly are far less likely to engage in academic dishonesty. Faculty who want to reduce the likelihood of cheating in their courses can have students complete the tutorial as a class assignment.
The tutorial includes two self-tests that help students check their comprehension. Faculty can contact firstname.lastname@example.org to request a .zip file containing the quizzes. The tests are also available as graded Blackboard Vista quizzes that can be imported into course shells. The tutorial includes videos of interviews with NAU students and faculty who describe what academic integrity means to them.
