In some cases you may want students to take a quiz so they can test their knowledge, but you do not want to grade the students, nor track the results. In Assessments you can create a Self-Test. Use the same process as creating a Quiz, but note that the Self-Test does not create a column in the Grade Book. Students can take the Self-Test as many times as they wish.
Another non-graded Assessment is the Survey. A column in the Grade Book is created, but students are not given any grades. You will not be able to track how specific students answered survey questions, only that they completed the survey.
