How can I scale an image using Blackboard's built-in HTML editor?

To scale a large graphic so that it is, for example, always 50% of the width of a page,

  1. Create a Blank Page in the content area.
  2. Insert your graphic the usual way using the Add Image tool, browsing for it in the Content Collection or on My Computer.
  3. Click on the <> button to go into code view.
  4. Find the style=" " tag associated with the image and add the following bit of code inside the quotation marks: width:50%; so that it looks like this:

style="width: 50%; "

That's the only change you need to make! When you exit the code view mode, the image should be 50% of the width of the page. Rather than a fixed width, the graphic will scale up and down according to the size of the window.
