Converting Power Point Files to HTML

This tutorial explains how to convert Microsoft PowerPoint files (that do not have graphics) into HTML files.

  1. Open Microsoft PowerPoint.

  3. Select Open file.

  5. Locate the file to open, then select Save As, and then choose Other Formats.

  7. Scroll down in the Save as type textbox.

  9. Select Outline/RTF (*.rtf).

  11. Next, select Save.

  13. Open Microsoft Word.

  15. Locate the .rtf file that you just exported from MS PowerPoint.

  17. Select All of the document’s content (Control + A).

  19. Select the More style options dropdown arrow.

  21. Next, choose Clear Formatting.

  23. Now, format your document using what you learned from the Creating Web Pages with Word workshop using headers, lists, and other styles.
    When you are complete, select Save As.

  25. Choose Other Formats.
  26. Scroll down the Save as type dropdown list to locate and select Web Page, Filtered (*.htm; *.html).

  28. Name your file, and save to your computer.
