This workshop will introduce you to strategies for using Google Docs for collaborative learning activities in your in-person, online and blended classes.

We will cover the nuts and bolts of how to set up a Google Doc using your NAU gmail account, as well as the various settings you might consider.

We'll also consider the purpose of using Google Docs for collaborative learning, look at example activities that use this tool, and get some hands-on practice in the workshop.


After completing this workshop, you will:

  • be able to create Google Docs for use in your in-person, online and blended classes
  • explain how Google Docs can foster collaborative learning
  • determine whether Google Docs is the right tool for your pedagogical purpose.
