This workshop will introduce you to strategies for using Google Docs for collaborative learning activities in your in-person, online and blended classes.

We will consider the purpose of using Google Docs for collaborative learning, look at example activities that use this tool, and get some hands-on practice in the workshop.

We'll also cover the nuts and bolts of how to set up a Google Doc using your NAU gmail account, as well as the various settings you might consider.



After completing this workshop, you will:

  • 1) be able to create Google Docs for use in your in-person, online and blended classes
  • 2) explain how Google Docs can foster collaborative learning
  • 3) determine whether Google Docs is the right tool for your pedagogical purpose.
