Are you considering blending your in-person class? Do you have some questions about how to do so effectively? If so, this introductory workshop is for you. We'll expore some of the research and basic principles around effective blended learning strategies, to help you determine whether this approach is the right fit for your classes.

We'll consider NAU's definition of blended learning and discuss exemplary NAU case studies. We'll focus particularly on intentional course design for blended approaches.

Objectives

After completing this workshop, you will be able to:

  • identify basic principles behind effective blended learning design
  • examine ways of maximzing the success of your blended course 
  • consider your purpose for blending your class to work toward ensuring a good fit.
