While students enjoy the flexibility of an online course, they often want more than just text, static images, and multimedia. They want to connect with their professors, who are often passionate about their field of study. Using personal video to communicate allows your students to feel like they are having a conversation with a real person. While it is still a one-way conversation, students have an emotional response that helps to ease stress, increase participation, and make the course fun!

In this workshop, we will talk about the pedagogy behind personal video use in the online or blended classes as well as show you how to get started.
