ETC 547: Instructional Theory and Strategies in Technology Integration
Credit Hours: 3
Format: Online
Semesters Offered: Fall and Spring
Prerequisites: Being admitted into the Ed Tech Program
ETC 547 is designed to provide educators with the opportunity
and tools to examine and reflect on alternative ways to plan, organize,
and implement classroom instruction that integrates technology in the
K-12 curriculum. It is planned as a foundational class for teachers
just beginning graduate study in curriculum and instruction, as well
as an update for educators interested in recent research and innovative
practice in the integration of technology in the classroom.
In order to meet the goals and objectives of ETC 547,
students will research, read, and report on theorists and theories of
learning, participate in synchronous (chat) and asynchronous (bulletin
board) discussions on a variety of topics and readings, and complete
hands-on activities that model technology integration in educational
settings.
