ETC 558: Technology in the Secondary Classroom

Prerequisites: ETC 547 and ETC 567
This course is designed for teachers in the 7-12 classroom regardless
of specific content area. Through this course, students will engage
in activities, readings, reflections, research, writing, and online
interactions that will lead to the development of products that can
be of immediate use in the 7-12 classroom. The course is based on the
constructivist approach to teaching/learning. Although it is not a requirement
to be an inservice teacher, you may be required to evaluate class projects
in a learning environment. Making sure that you have access to a learning
environment (public or private school classroom, corporate community,
online community, etc.) to test your products will be highly recommended
to have a successful experience in this course.
Requisites:
Students are required to have an active Dana account to access the course
in Vista. Access to the course will not be granted until the official
first day of the semester.
