ETC 559: Technology in the ESL Classroom

Prerequisites: None (being a graduate student in any discipline)
This course brings together theory, content, and technology to teach English Language Learners (ELLs). The course provides students with technology tools to support language learning, from simple tools to elaborated teaching strategies. This course is suited for teachers who work with ELL students at any level. It is recommended that enrolled students have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel). Although it is not a requirement
to be an inservice teacher, you may be required to evaluate class projects
in a learning environment. Making sure that you have access to a learning
environment (public or private school classroom, corporate community,
online community, etc.) to test your products will be highly recommended
to have a successful experience in this course.
