ETC 695: Educational Technology Capstone
Credit Hours: 3
Format: Online
Semesters Offered: Fall and Spring
Prerequisites: ETC 547 and ETC 567
The Educational Technology capstone course provides students with
an environment
to fully plan, design, produce, implement, and evaluate an instructional
product that demonstrates their understanding
of the concepts, skills, and theoretical framework of the Educational
Technology program. Due to the intensity and importance of this course, the length of the same is one full year (two semesters). It is strongly recommended that students plan to take this course one semester before the semester they plan to graduate. For the first semester of the capstone, it may be taken concurrently with only ONE other course but it MUST be taken alone during the second part of the course (second semester).
Students will be expected to use TaskStream to build
a portfolio that includes, among other things:
- artifacts from the ETC program coursework
- reflections on these artifacts
- original application letter
- personal reflection on the program based on the above
