Students
Q: Do students have to speak Spanish to understand these videos?
A: No. All the narration for all four videos is in English. Locales and words or phrases may be subtitled from time to time for comprehension or explanation.
Q: For whom is the Mexican Holiday Video Series recommended?
A: The Holiday series is recommended for a general audience, which means a suggested age level from upper elementary school to adult learners. It is not recommended for lower elementary students due to the complex nature of the topics and concepts being covered as well as the difficulty level of the language incorporated into the scripts.

Our Curriculum
Q: Are the National Standards for Foreign Language Learning incorporated?
A: They are included in the Resource Booklet which accompanies each of the three volumes in the Mexican Holiday Video Series. The applicable standards are each listed as well as the National Standards in their entirety for viewers’ information and use.
Q: How should these cultural videos be used?
A: The Mexican Holiday Video Series can be used to provide an additional cultural component to any Spanish language course for the general audience age range (upper elementary to adult learners). They can also be used to supplement courses related to anthropology, education, foreign literature, history, Latin American studies, religion, and social studies, from middle/junior high school and high school to community college or university courses. The Resource Booklets are adaptable to serve this wide range of learners. For people who travel, especially to Mexico, they offer a valuable resource about places to see as well as an explanation of history and culture.

Payment, Shipping, and Delivery
Q: What payment do you accept?
A: Educational organization purchase orders/checks and credit cards.
Q: What if our private or parochial school does not issue purchase orders?
A: You may pay by credit card. We accept VISA or Mastercard. The other option is for you to provide a signed and dated letter on school letterhead and submit it with your completed order form. This letter should verify that the person ordering our programming is an authorized signatory for the school and that payment will be made upon receipt of our invoice. Or, you may elect to pay in advance with a check written on the school’s account and submit the check with your completed order form.

Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes, we accept VISA or Mastercard.
Q: What are your shipping and handling charges?
A: $5.00 for the Mexican Holiday Video Series. This is a special shipping and handling charge only for the cultural videos.
Q: How do you ship?
A: Federal Express so we can track your order and verify receipt.So we must have a physical address for shipping. No PO Boxes for the shipping address, please.

Q: Are there any copyright restrictions for these cultural programs?
A: Yes. The university has reserved all rights. These programs cannot be broadcast without written permission of Educational Systems Programming at Northern Arizona University. Any or all portions of the Resource Booklets cannot be duplicated unless it is for direct use in the classroom or with students. No portion can be reproduced or copied for sale or non-educational use.
