Jonah Hill, a member of the Hopi-Tutskwa Permaculture Group will be leading this workshop. Jonah has experience in establishing and maintaining fruit orchards on the Hopi Reservation. He will demonstrate various pruning techniques and be available to answer questions. Participants will gain hands-on experience pruning young fruit trees and mature crabapples growing in the SSLUG Garden.
WHERE: SSLUG Garden, NAU Campus, south of Social and Behavioral Sciences, West (http://home.nau.edu/maps/parking_map_2010.pdf). Parking at the end of Huffer Lane off of Pine Knoll Drive
BRING: sunscreen and water, gloves, tools if you have them (hand pruners, loppers). A snack will be provided.
