Professional Interests:
Dr. Fei Peng was trained as an ecologist with an emphasis on alpine meadow ecosystem response to climate change in the permafrost region. His current research focus on old carbon decomposition in the permafrost to improve our ability to predict the feedback between climate change and permafrost thaw.

Research Areas:
Ecosystem Ecology

Biogeochemistry

Grassland Ecology

Education:
Ph.D. in Physical Geography, Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, 2012.

B.S. in Physical Geography, Lanzhou University, China, 20063

Academic Appointments:
2012- Assistant Researcher, Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
