NAUREADS

NAUreads asks all first-year students to read the same book and encourages students to participate in conversations about the book. This provides all our first year students with a common experience as they begin their educational journey. Students can use the book to initiate conversations and build community with their new classmates, roommates, and faculty. The program includes opportunities to participate in:

  • Book club discussions with faculty and staff
  • Author presentations
  • Film series related to the books central themes and issues
  • Lectures on topics related to the book
  • Class discussion based on the book
