Don't Forget To Fill Out The FAFSA!
Tuesday, February 14 is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) priority deadline! Please work with your student to submit this as soon as possible for maximum financial aid consideration. If you have questions or concerns, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid.
Free in-hall tutoring is available to ALL students, including those in Freshman Connections residence halls, as well as Mountain View, home of Greek Life. Depending on the course, your student might not have to leave the building to take advantage of this service. Encourage your student to view the schedule for in-hall tutoring online. Tutoring is available Sunday through Wednesday from 7-10 PM. Courses typically tutored include: Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Composition. If a particular subject is not offered in-hall, your student can visit the Student Learning Centers or speak with their instructors about other tutoring opportunities.
Is Your Student Graduating In May?
Graduation regalia and announcements will be available for purchase at the NAU Bookstore and online starting March 8, 2012. The Bookstore will host GradFair on March 8-9, from 9 AM until 4 PM.
The Office of Residence Life is proud to announce the continuation of scholarship funds available to all residence hall students at Northern Arizona University. This program, in its 22nd year, has been made possible through a generous donation from the Mac-Gray Corporation. This company provides the laundry equipment in the residence halls.
Ten scholarships worth $1,000 each will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters during the 2012-2013 academic year. March 23 is the application deadline. Find eligibility criteria and additional information from the Office of Residence Life.
The Pharmacy has Extended Hours!
The Pharmacy at Campus Health Services, located in the Health and Learning Center, is a full-service center with a large over-the-counter (OTC) area to take care of many student needs. We accept most insurance plans and fill prescriptions Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and most Saturdays from 11 AM to 3 PM. The retail/OTC area is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM and most Saturdays from 11 AM to 3 PM.
The pharmacy staff has a 45 minute lunch break from 12:15 to 1 PM daily, so students will not be able to pick up prescriptions during that time.
Our OTC area stocks cough, cold and flu, allergy and sinus, eye care, first aid, and other treatment products. We also carry a large variety of personal care products such as shampoos, shaving needs, body lotions, toothpaste, paper towels, batteries, vitamins, greeting cards, Burt's Bees products, makeup, and even an assortment of recreation/school items such as yoga mats, water bottles, notebooks, pens, ear buds, and weight lifting gloves.
The pharmacy accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JacksDebit Express (JDE), and checks, or we can post charges to LOUIE accounts.
