Flawless Finals! We can do this Jacks!
by Jessalyn Carpino at 9:05 PM
I’m sitting here with my roommate and best bud and we’re all a little bit nervous. FINALS ARE APPROACHING! And as we sit here talking about how nervous we all are and how much each final is worth (one of ours is worth 35% of our grade!) we are not studying we are just sitting here and complaining about it. We’re not helping the situation. So the point I’m getting at is: start studying as soon as possible!
So, put down those chopsticks and open those textbooks. And before you freak about each final, take a look at this exam schedule and end of term policy to find out when your final will start.
Now we all want to do well, so I pulled some highlights from hubpages.com on preparing for even your toughest finals:
Get enough sleep! - It’s important to be rested especially before finals. Brains just do not function at their best when they are deprived of rest!
Eat Well - Especially breakfast. Refuel your body and brain and keep yourself energized and alert!
Actually Study - Yes, you actually need to review…and if it is a tough final, you may need to review a lot. But make sure that you are studying the right things.
Try Not To Worry - Yes, this may be the hardest tip to follow, but it may also be the most crucial. If you’ve done all you can to prepare, then worrying will just make things worse. Shut off your brain the night before, rest for a good 8 hours, and give it your all the next day. That is all you can do and if you are doing your best then don’t worry about the rest!
And for some fun, check out this humorous video to know what to do and what NOT to do when preparing for finals:
