Northern Arizona University Theater and Theatrikos Theater Company have combined efforts for the second annual Town and Gown Summer Theater Production with Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple.
“Theatrikos and NAU Theater are combining strengths to produce one of the best things to happen this summer in the performing arts,” said director Darby Winterhalter Lofstrand, adjunct faculty member in the NAU Department of Theater.
The 1965 classic comedy revolves around two mismatched roommates, one neat and uptight and the other more easygoing but slovenly.
The performance stars Joe Maniglia as Oscar and Kriss Victor as Felix. It also will feature NAU Theater student Lauren Klein as Cecily, Robert Schehr, NAU professor of criminology and criminal justice, as Murray and Donovan Wood, NAU forestry graduate student, as Roy.
The production will be staged at 8 p.m. July 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25, and at 2 p.m. July 12, 19 and 26 at the Clifford E. White Theater. Advance tickets are $10 for students and senior citizens and $12 for general admission. Admission will be $2 more at the door. Call (928) 523-5661 for tickets.
