An
administrative assistant in the office of the Vice Provost for
Academic Affairs, Karla Brewster assists with several programs – Freshmen
Seminar Program, First Year Experience, Class Linked Academic Support,
and the Summer Reading Program. While at Northern Arizona
University, she has worked for the English department and the Honors
Program. Her background has been in education as a teacher
at the elementary level and at Glendale Community College. Recently,
she tutored for Coconino Community College in their GED program.
Previously, she was employed by John C. Lincoln Hospital as an
administrative secretary in the Volunteer Services department in
Phoenix.
Karla has a B.A. in Education from ASU and a M.A. in Education from the University of Northern Colorado. She is active in several on-campus organizations and was just elected to the Flagstaff City Council.
