2008 Discussion Event Information
First-year students will participate in a discussion of A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier during NAU’s Welcome Week, Saturday, August 23rd, 2008, at 11:30am, at various locations across campus. These discussions will be run by NAU faculty, administrators, and staff members and will last approximately one hour. The discussion facilitators are looking forward to talking with you about this wonderful book. This Discussion Event will take place right after the Parent Send-Off Breakfast, which will be held on NAU's north and south campuses from 10:00am to 11:30am.
To prepare for these discussions, please read the book this summer and access the helpful Study Guide through the link below. You are sure to find this book, both interesting and thought-provoking.
You will also be receiving emails during the summer that will give you more information about this event and related events planned for the fall.
