Alcohol Policy
(2001 Faculty Handbook, #4.4.3)
On-campus possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages of those of legal age is allowed only in private living quarters or in other limited access areas of residence halls or other campus living units or other designated areas. Consumption of alcoholic beverages in public areas other than those designated is prohibited. For complete guidelines, contact the office of Campus Services at 928.523.2391.
"Designated areas" in the University Union are limited to the following:
1. Grand Canyon room: All times / dates with approval of President's Office and signed alcohol waiver.
2. Sycamore/Walnut/Oak Creek/Havasupai rooms: Saturday evenings during the academic year, Sunday through Saturday during the summer.
All users requesting alcohol in the University Union must process an alcohol waiver form issued by Campus Services, 928.523.2180. Users must provide a copy of completed alcohol waiver forms to the University Union Event Coordinator not less than five (5) business days prior to event.
