About the Instructor

This 5 day workshop will introduce you to computer modeling and simulation in anthropology. In addition to learning modeling techniques, we will look how modeling can be used to elucidate ethnographic questions and social planning projects. You will learn to create your own working simulations of social systems and social problems. The workshop is designed for social scientists who want to explore the potential of computer modeling and simulation, using both dynamic systems modeling and agent-based software. The workshop is a not-for-profit activity sponsored by the Department of Anthropology at Northern Arizona University located in Flagstaff, AZ.
