Species Changes

Summary

Since pioneers arrived in Flagstaff, there have been changes in the status of many species. Some disappeared from the vicinity altogether and some became rare. Other species were introduced and became pests. A few domestic animals brought to the area, like cattle and sheep, led to subsequent changes in habitat and, thus, indirectly affected the success of native organisms.
