NAU will offer tuition assistance for domestic partners of eligible NAU faculty and staff and their dependent children effective with Northern Arizona University’s spring semester beginning in January.  
For the spring semester 2009, requests and any necessary supporting documents must be submitted to Human Resources no later than December 17, 2008.  Human Resources will send a list of approved participants to the Financial Aid office by December 22, 2008 and tuition disbursement will be applied in early January.  Applications submitted to HR after December 17, 2008 will be delayed and may have an impact on any other aid available to the student.

Representatives from TIAA-CREF, VALIC, Fidelity and Nationwide recently participated in a panel discussion to address the impact of the current economic challenges. They shared information on responding to volatile markets and answered questions about the optional retirement plans, investing in supplemental retirement savings and other things to think about during these challenging times.
