This style of swordplay was prevalent during the 16th C and 17th C. The study will include the teachings of Silver as well as other masters.
 

Equipment

• Backsword or basket-hilted broadsword or wooden waster in proper form.
• Padded fencing doublet in an Elizabethan or Early 17th C. style. Pants of the same time period.
• Steel gorget and leather gauntlets.
• Steel elbow and knee cops.
• Forearm protection for the sword arm.
• Steel fencing helm (18 gauge).
• Leather boots or period style shoes.
