I am broadly interested in the responses of soil organic matter to climate change in permafrost ecosystems, their impact on ecosystem functioning, and feedback to global warming. My research at NAU is particularly focused on the mechanisms and processes that control soil organic matter destabilization and stabilization at the molecular level (http://vulcan.comule.com).
