Research Interests

I am an ecologist broadly interested in how environmental factors (e.g. climate, soils, nutrients) affect the rate which plants and microbes cycle carbon through ecosystems. My current focus is on the impacts of permafrost melt on plant carbon allocation to roots and mycorrhizal fungi, and how this affects net ecosystem carbon balance.
